Who We Are
Hurst1st.com is an organization focused on city-wide revitalization and restoration. We create neighborhood-level strategies bringing industry leaders as partners in order to create purposeful and lasting economic growth and community improvement.
Overview
Hurst1st.com is launching a city-wide residential and commercial revitalization plan that is based on real economic realities that are immediately executable and leverages industry leaders in real estate to create significant value. Our plan is to identify New Investment Zones for both commercial and residential revitalization. Through the creation of Revitalization Overlay Districts in these zones as well as community outreach and engagement programs, our partners will work to transform individual commercial corridors and residential neighborhoods.
Residential
Our goal is to bring measurable improvement to Hurst neighborhoods and provide services and funding mechanisms that promote homeowner participation. Hurst1st.com will conduct free in-home needs assessments and then offer homeowners a menu of improvement services available based a predetermined work schedule in the local neighborhood. As homes take part, this effort will transform the curb appeal of participating homeowners giving each street a fresh look resulting in greater pride of ownership, improved home values, and an engaging sense of community.
Our team members will be going house-to-house to notify homeowners of forthcoming revitalization efforts and explaining net benefits being made available to them in order to get as much local awareness and buy-in as possible, our needs assessment team will determine homeowner eligibility what group of services may be of best benefit.

Veteran Initiatives
1.Veteran Solutions: Purpose driven campaign to educate, certify, and deploy skilled veterans into local community to renovate antiquated homes in underserved areas primed for revitalization.
2. Veteran Home and Business Ownership: Empower veteran investment programs to start and grow local businesses: renovation, building, and owning affordable housing and new business enterprises as they reintegrate into society.
This inclusive strategy and programmatic approach to economic development positively impacts the local economy, neighborhoods, HEB school district, and the individual veteran and their families in a manner that has measurable benefit for the community as a whole.
